About

English4All in Leeds offers free English lessons to adult speakers of other languages. It is an independent community organisation, and all teachers provide their services free of charge.

Mission statement

To promote social cohesion through shared learning, socialising and networking

Free classes held every Saturday from 12pm - No need to book. Just turn up!

LCI (next to Out of this World), Central Rd, Leeds, LS1 6DG.

FOLLOWED BY : "Coffee & Conversation" : Every Saturday after class, all students are enouraged to join the volunteers at a local coffee shop. Students are all encourgaed to get to know each other and the volunteers, which helps improve their English skills and confidence whilst they make friends.

All levels welcome.

Through this door!

English4All in Leeds: would like to thank -

English4All in Leeds (E4A) was founded in October 2016.  It already has a team of highly experienced and qualified ESOL teachers, all of whom contribute their time and skills on a voluntary basis, supported by scores of volunteer classroom assistants. In all, almost 366 people have applied to vounteer in  the project's first 12 months - 1 a day! We've registered over 200 students from 45 countries around the world (figures as at 22/10/2017).  It is currently funded  through a comination of independent, private donations and funding awards (see above). E4A rents premises at LCI, on Central Rd, Leeds each week for the purpose of the classes, but LCI has no other connection with E4A.

Estimates for 2015 alone show Leeds welcomed over 9,000 working migrants*. The demand for English classes in Leeds outstrips its supply, which is holding some  back in their ability to integrate. E4A provides these lessons and associated social events as part of a drive to improve social cohesion in Leeds.
